Sprag Session CD Packaging

Sprag Session CD Packaging

Really excited to have been part of this awesome debut CD by Cape Breton's Sprag Session. Although I'm not responsible for the cover illustration, or photography, I did manage to help these guys with some layout design, and some really sharp typography. Order your copy here. Check out the video of them recording "Gwanwitcha" below (care of Darcy Campbell, Shot on Site Media). And for those of your in Charlottetown, PEI, you can catch these guys at The Old Triangle, May 20th, 2012.

Smooth Cards

Smooth Cards

I love seeing new prints. Especially when it's another piece for Waxit. These are some nice, clean, and smooth (plastic) business cards.

Savoy Theatre

A while back, I posted some polaroid transfers I had done for the Savoy Theatre. These here are the original slides (fuji provia 100). The scans are not the best, they are not cleaned up or color balanced, but damn … they look good. These slides have a permanent home in my projector.

Love!t Launch

It's been months in the making, and I'm so stoked to have been a part of Waxit's new product, "Love!t." There's not a whole lot I want to say that the photos don't already. I'm quite happy with the packaging, and this amazing product. This Saturday, March 3rd, 2012, Waxit is hosting their official grand re-opening — piggybacking the launch of this brand new product line. Stop by to show your support, visit waxit.ca and stop by waxit's facebook page for more details on the event.

Michael Stanley Pottery

Today is a really excellent day. Today, we’re proud to bring you michaelstanleypottery.com

Not only is this a launch of his website, but we've also been secretly (sort of) working on his entire brand image. Using what he already had working for him — a beautiful gallery downtown, the beginnings of a logo, and a loyal facebook following — we created a brand new wordmark, some crisp new business cards, topped off with a bit of crafty product photography.

Now, once you're done perusing the site, don’t stop there, go vIsit the studio on Water Street in Charlottetown and check out some of the stunning pottery for yourself, and see the man work his magic.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found

It's funny how the internet just hangs on to things. This gem was made quite a while back, as a sort of  non-dynamic, online business card. Despite the it's old-school (standard 600 X 800) sizing, and its lack of anything interacitve at all, I still quite like the design. Shooting the photos was also fun.

Mixed Nuts!

Mixed Nuts!

It's rare, these days, that I really get a chance to mess around with studio photography. Most often, shoots are on location, fast-paced, and done before I know it. So, I had some lights set up this morning for another shoot (updated some portfolio pieces), but I took a few minutes (or a couple hours) to photograph some of these mixed nuts left over from xmas.

New Branding (teaser)

New Branding (teaser)

I've been holding back posting a bunch of really great pieces the last couple months — waiting for official launch dates to arrive. Most of these projects will be unveiled over the next little while, but as a teaser, Michael Stanley is letting us have a sneak peak at his freshly designed logo & business cards in anticipation for his full website launch and re-branding.
