About
Hello, I am Josh Adams, independent designer and photographer. Mod Creative is my radical little studio in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
ABOUT ME: I thrive on creativity, change, and discovery. This, along with my visual/hands on approach, enables me to come up with creative working solutions for clients. I am experienced in design for both print and web, logo design, brand positioning, and art direction. Furthermore, I am a disciplined photographer with a knack for creative themes and strong lighting — with notable skill in commercial photography (food, product) but also in landscape and black and white portraiture. As an independent designer, I am reliable and competent, but I do work quite well in collaboration efforts, and appreciate peer feedback in studio environments.
WORK HISTORY: I began working as a photographer in 2002 and shortly after graduating from Holland College’s Photography program in 2004, I moved to Nova Scotia to start a business with my wife. Being in Cape Breton, I indulged in landscape photography and soon found myself shooting for Parks Canada Agency. While I continued to focus on editorial and commercial photography for my own business, I accidently fell into the role of "graphic designer." I later graduated with honors from NSCC's Design Program at the top of my class and have continued to spend a lot of long hours learning from some really amazing designers, instructors, and a number of exceptionally great clients and friends.
